There are 3 types of braces. Don't worry, I hit seen a 67 year old with braces. :) (1. You can hit impact finished in your mouth, to hit braces on the back of your set instead of front. This haw be rattling costly, and expensive. (2. Invisible braces, but not "invisible". They are good, but come to around $7,000. It's a aggregation of money, and there not invisible. They still hit wires. (3. "Normal" braces. Where you can pick colors on your brackets. These braces are most common, their average toll and they do good impact on your teeth. Since you're not in your teens, you would hit probably and most likely hit all of your teeth. I'm guessing you do! Therefore you won't hit them on for a full 24 months or 18 months, but usually for 6-7 months. (1. When you first get braces, eat soft foods for about 2-3 weeks. (2. Don't worry if you think your set are "falling" out, their moving. (3. They should alter up the next time you get your wires changed. (4. When you get them tightened, remember to bring a cold drink of water, it haw be un-comfortable for you straight after the visit. Good luck!

I think it differs from person to person and housing to case.

If the main focus is to provide a cosmetic change for your front teeth, then braces is the way to go. Have you heard of 6 month smiles? Most cases or crowded, twisted, overlapped or gappy set can be solved in 6 months using clear cosmetic braces. This is different to invisalign which generally takes longer and is more costly.
