I am effort my braces off in 3 weeks and am effort a hawley retainer. I'm supposed to wear them 24/7 for a year, but I am wondering: when I am with my boyfriend, I poverty to take it out, but how some hours would it be alright to keep it out? I don't poverty my teeth to shift. Also, are they going to give me a consideration for the bottom teeth as well? It seems like a unarticulate question, but I never detected retainers on bottoms and my ortho hasn't really discussed such with me. Thanks! :)

For initialy 6 months you should not vanish them except for meal time. After that you crapper vanish for an hour or two in between but it should not be for individual duration. Retainers are presented on bunk and lower both arches. If you are concious then you crapper go for fixed retainers and you crapper discuss with your dentist. you do what your otho tells you. and occasionally its okay to skip a day in a week..but thats after you had it for at least a some weeks. it wont perceive you much to skip for a some hours. i have a retainer, i dress it only at nights. and i have a lowermost retainer. you dont normally see them the lowermost retainers, its behid your lowermost teeth.

many people dress crowning and bottom retainers.. it would be ok to leave out for a few hours probably modify a period but your teeth will hurt when you put it back in. make sure to dress it most of the instance though im 27 and wore braces for 5 years i stopped wearing my consideration and my teeth moved back to were they were to start with in 8 months.

There are no bottom retainers.. Lol. But depending on your dentist, you module get to wear it exclusive at punctuation after some punctuation of time. And dont worry about it, you'll forget you even have your retainer in when your with your boyfriend but if you ease want to verify it out for a period or so, it module be fine. No set module shift, and you module be Ok. Lol.
