I live in Australia, and I'm going overseas to Thailand for 5 weeks. I'm getting my braces off in 2 days, and my biggest fear is losing or breaking my retainers in Thailand. 5 whole weeks... I am screwed if I happen to lose/break my retainers?

um.... dont break or retrograde it! than u dont have to worry most that another stuff.

The only abstract I can say is, BE CAREFUL!

you wouldn't have it and probably couldn't find a orthodontist. Your teeth would begin to move and become crooked again. when you get bag you module have to get newborn retainers made, which module be expensive, and your teeth wouldn't be as straight as they were before. First of all I doubt the retainers module break, and if you are that worried about it, you should talk to your orthodontist about a imperishable retainer. It's just a small wire affixed to the inside of your teeth. They are totally invisible and work just as well as other retainers.

no matter what happens, if it breaks patch you're there you can intend it repaired when you intend backwards and it will bring your teeth backwards to normal IF they touched at all.

BE REALLY CAREFUL AND YOU PROBABLY WON'T LOOSE OR BREAK IT. WHEN YOU GET THE BRACES OFF ASK THE ORTHODONTIST TO SAVE YOUR RETAINER MOLD. THEN IF YOU LOOSE IT CONTACT SOMEONE BY EMAIL, LIKE MOM, AND HAVE HER CONTACT THE ORTHODONTIST TO HAVE A NEW ONE MADE. WHEN YOU GET HOME IT WILL BE WAITING FOR YOU. IF THE ORTHODONTIST CAN'T SAVE THE MOLD, BECAUSE SOMETIMES THEY ARE DESTROYED WHEN THE RETAINER IS MADE...JUST CONTACT HIM AS SOON AS YOU GET HOME. YOUR TEETH MAY MOVE ALITTLE BUT HE WILL BE ABLE TO GET YOU BACK ON TRACK WITH THE NEW RETAINER. DON'T WORRY AND JUST BE CAREFUL. REMEMBER IF IT'S IN YOUR MOUTH, YOU WON'T LOOSE IT. PS...DO NOT WRAP IT IN A NAPKIN WHEN YOU EAT.
