 Impacted Wisdom Teeth Infection.?

My dentist says My wisdom teeth r infected My dentist told me to lave my mouth with salt water How often should I do this? Is there anything else to reduce the infection ? i am getting it removed in the upcoming months..thx

Salt water is mostly ineffective. Get a chlorhexidine solution e.g. Peridex, and ingest it 2x regular after brushing. I give it discover to all my patients pre-extraction and post-extraction. Keeps everything dead clean, modify the stitches.
