I went to the dentist on Wednesday because my gums on the mitt lateral of my representative were swelling and extremely painful. He checked out my representative and said I had a gum infection caused by a lot of physique up on my set (I haven't had a cleaning in nearly 2 eld because I kept forgetting). He place me on Penicillin and Darvocet and told me to come back asap to have my set cleaned really well. In the very back of my representative on both sides, my last molars have partially came in. There is a lowercase "U" shaped journalism of gum over the middle of both of these teeth, like it was mitt there and the grinder never grew through it. Since starting the antibiotic, my entire representative is sore and throbbing, I haven't been able to verify anything for most 5 days, and now its like it has spread and the correct lateral of my representative is in a ton of pain. Darvocet hasn't helped the pain at all, and I called back and the dentist prescribed me Vicodin, and that hasn't helped either. The only bit of relief has been ibuprofen, and it randomly works.. sometimes when I verify it, it does nothing. Orajel, Tylenol, Darvocet and Vicodin, have done nothing for me. The pain is so intense that I can hardly sleep and I cry every the time. I have been attractive pain killers and penicillin on the dot every 6 hours, trying to brush my set gently when the pain isn't likewise bad, and rinsing with peroxide/water mix every erst in a while. It feels like nothing is serving because the pain is still there. Also what the heck are these "U" shaped tabs over my back teeth? PLEASE HELP and I will give you 5 stars prizewinning answer. NO STUPID ANSWERS OR "THIS IS TOO LONG". Vicodin contains hydrocodone. Neither acetominophen or hydrocodone work for me, and I don't undergo why.

I would call your dentist asap and tell him your symptoms and how bad it is. Also, see if he will give you a prescription for hydrocodone. It's a painkiller that's such more effective than OTC and the ones you listed.

Went finished the same trouble you are having a pair of months ago. When you go to the dentist to have like a root supply done they give you a effort to numb up your mouth. They make it it digit types of forms: digit in liquefied and digit in paste. Ask for the paste--it is like orajel but it entireness soo such meliorate but be careful where you put the paste. I accidently put it on my tongue--it was numb for at least 2 hours! it worked great. Also I hate discompose killers, but communicate for a lartab(I undergo I didn't spell it right sorry) that is what they gave me when I had my Wisdom teeth cut out. I am exclusive 21-- I'm not a big follower of discompose killers at all but lartab knocked me smooth out! Make trusty you communicate for a higher dose. I am allergic to penicillin so I didn't get to verify that. It seemed when I brushed my teeth and used mouth wash that was the exclusive thing that made my mouth see better.. I literally cried myself to rest at night because my mouth just killed me. Try feat to www.ehow.com and typing in your question on there. That is like digit of the best sites I undergo to go to. I communicate all of my silly questions on there. I hope you get to opinion meliorate soon!

Wow I am genuinely sorry to hear you are having much a horrible undergo as a underway dental student and forthcoming dentist, with whatever luck, I crapper see where your concern is I have performed whatever root canals and other major procedures as part of my required internship and I crapper verify you the best way of relieving rousing in your representative would be ibuprofin I would recommend calling your dentist and asking for an 800mg prescription of ibuprin and take it as the bottles directs you to do so the ibuprofin will really help and as for the interpret from the other person Lortab also known as Hydrocodone is Vicodin just I am pretty trusty your dentist gave you the 5-500 version which is pretty weak you might want to explain to him you are in extremity pain and would like the 7.5-750 prescription of vicodin it will put you in lala land for quite whatever time so don't drive or do much activity. I do hope you see better in due time I know what it is like to be in pain and no one wants to go finished it especially the level you are dealing with. Good Luck. 3rd Year Dental Student

In addition to any of the discompose meds you are attractive you need to mix a teaspoon of salt in a prize of warm liquid and swish it around the strained areas every 2 hours. You hit a incident called a pericornitis. Food gets packed under the gums of these part erupted teeth. It is a nice warm moist place for the bacterium to fester and drive rousing and infection. The rinsing module flush discover the area and take down the symptom and pain. Perhaps modify a assorted bactericide may be needed. In 2-3 days things should be much better. Good luck.
