I just got my expander in most 2 days ago...like my braces they are hard to get utilised to haha. But the problem is that I sound really weird when I talk, like I can't pronounce certain words, and also intake takes a really loooooong time. So my question is, when will I get utilised to eating? And also, will I stop talking funny? Thanks people, chow.

My friend got an expander and she did talk very funny at first, and she couldn't eat at all. Food would always get stuck in her expander and she couldn't enclose the food but it's been about 1-2 week(s) and shes fine now :) You'll get used to it. Dont worry!

Well i hit an expander and trust me you'll get utilised to it in 1-3 weeks at first you module talk funny and it module be hard to eat but you should be fine soon! Good luck! Hope this helped you out ( : !!!

I had one for 3 months or so. I couldn't eat at first or talk well. You'll get utilised to intake after a hebdomad or so, but as far as conversation I never really got utilised to it. I started conversation a lowercase better after a long time, but it never got normal. When you eat essay to get your matter over the top when you enclose and be careful with speghetti because it's easy to get choked on stuff like that. Read magazines out loud, etc. and you'll improve on your talking.
