ok ive been pretty good w. my retainers. i wore them all the time, every night, all night. i had my braces soured in March 5, missed like maybe only 3.5 hours in total all assemblage after on... am i screwed? i herd that shelter doesnt cover imperishable retainers. i dont modify hav insurance. its february 18 today, the day wen i doltishly definite to put my retainers in a napkin and was likewise lazy to go downbound the stairs to fetch the case. my dog chewed on it and now it has a chip in the plastic. it doesnt fit in. im afeard to modify essay to fix it with pliers. i herd that teeth module move shifting back to their places quickly like in 3 days. module this happen to me modify wen i wore my retainers everyday? remember, its been 11 months since i had my braces soured and was really good with wearing them all the time. plz answer. im desperate. esp since i spent 2 years in braces. i dont poverty to go back!

I would go to your orthodontist ASAP. Your set module ajust but not massively still if you never wear it again your set module go backwards to before the braces. Don't be afeard of paying for perfect teeth.

The answer is simple. Take your damaged retainer to your orthodontist and permit him see if it crapper be fixed. If it cannot, then you requirement a newborn one. Well, it really depends on how your teeth were before braces. If you were trying to near gaps, then most probable you will see the reappearance of the same gaps. It varies from person to person, but you belike will see some movement and it belike wont be as bad as pre-braces. I wore my retainers for maybe a month and then I lost them, it's been about 2 years later and my teeth are fine I just hit a some gaps on the side of my representative which isn't very visible. i had braces for 2 yrs and i wore my retainer religiously for the prototypal year and then i didnt dress it then for most 4 months after that and i put it in then after most 4ish months and it still fit pretty well. the shifts wont be visibally noticable but yes your set do agitate but everyone is different and you really should go back and get a new one...its weird my ortho told me dogs LOVE the clog the retainers are made of, but i never actually believed them haha i guess they were right? ooh but if it doesnt fit right now bc ur canid chewed it up then do not put it in bc thatt will def agitate your set more than they will naturally shift. also plz dont use pliars to 'fix' it bc it could easily fortuity even more and pliars are really unsanitary. so ya just go to ur ortho. best of luck! my retainer broke from faling out of the housing when i opened up my locker 2 years past :/
