Anyone's ortho technician put on their metal grinder bands?

 Anyone's ortho technician put on their metal grinder bands?

My son's orthodontist put on his brackets, but had the technician put on the metal molar bands. Is this normal? I intellection the orthodontist usually did this, himself. Also, the bands are rattling super and cover all of the molar. I guess I intellection they would be thinner bands.

I hit one and it presume to help the jaws precise right. I hit brace on for 11 months and the molar band don't bother me. I hit my cover on the molar to stop the wire tight so it won't become lose.

I just had my braces condemned soured recently and when i got mine on, my orthodontist's assistant(technician) put the bands around my molars on herself then had the doctor analyse to attain sure they were in place correctly. They really were quite large but your mouth adjusts quickly. That is where the wire is attached and where it is tightened if needed to be. Good luck!
