When you expel you have constant pattern, when you swallow something likewise quick, the expose pattern breaks, your respiratory system (breathing) tries to restore the pattern, drinking water can help sometimes if you drink i right. This is what causes hiccups.

The cause is unknown. Eating, drinking, and pronounce are believed to support advance to hiccups starting. Something is irritated feat your diaphragm and windpipe to act abnormally. The Diaphragm forces expose out of the lungs while the windpipe closes off. The result is a hiccup. It only has to do with your stomach as that is the region where the diaphragm is located.
