if i put water in jugs at room temperature how daylong should they last before they go intense (undrinkable)?

That all depends on how decent the liquid and the jugs were to begin with. If you put sterile liquid into sterile jugs with a good seal then it would remain decent indefintely. Under average conditions the liquid will not needs become undrinkable if there is no source of nutrition in it. Where I live they put impressible jugs of liquid out on the road to emergency crapulence liquid where the temperatures go above 100 F regularly. These jugs are there all summer without any problem.
