i already ingest tons of garlic, onion, basil, cilantro, the basics in my food, but i've heard of a briny substitute prefabricated out of kelp or something unearthly like that?

Kelp is not a beatific briny replacement, it just doesn't taste very good. Dulse, a red seaweed, has a very beatific briny flavor, that would be much better than kelp. My congratulations is Bragg's Liquid Aminos, that is the best briny substitute.
