Most likely whatever psychological information you are disagreeable to self-medicate has more to do with it. HOWEVER: SJW is a famous liver enzyme inhibitor so if oyu are taking any another medication be sure to handle this with your doctor!! It could be interacting and causing those symptoms.

Be very certain with those supplements. Just because it's natural doesn't mean it's without side effects and complications. SJW works on your brain chemicals just like any anti-anxiety/depressant med would, so maybe the think you are waking up is becuase your system is receiving a "jolt." Discuss it with your doctor before you continue.

St. John's Wort is utilised as herbal anti-depressive. Works as a mild MAO inhibitor (the enzyme that breaks down serotonin). Serotonin creates a feeling of well being. On the another hand (contrary to what is stated in the another answer) it induces liver enzymes. So there are more enzymes of a specific type. Now if you ingest another drug of if you have unlucky genetics then drug metabolism strength get impairment by this, resulting in drug interactions. Long news short, if you are using another drug then first consult your GP or at least feature the indications on the drugs you ingest for possible interactions. And if it's not needed don't ingest it. Btw wikipedia has an article on St John's Wort for more info.

Be very certain with those supplements. Just because it's uncolored doesn't mean it's without lateral effects and complications. SJW works on your mentality chemicals just like any anti-anxiety/depressant med would, so maybe the reason you are waking up is becuase your system is receiving a "jolt." Discuss it with your student before you continue.
