 How can I ease my sore throat?

I hit strep throat and the whole left side of my throat is swollen up to at least double its size and I hit huge pus pockets on the left side of my throat... it hurts! I've proven chloraseptic spray AND lozenges and I'm continuously drinking but I can barely swallow it hurts so much. I took 400mg of ibuprofen most 30 minutes ago but it hasn't eased soured yet. I'm a broke college enrollee and most the only hot liquids I hit are soup and hot chocolate. I hit honey too. Anything to help me... I'm piteous and desperate. Thank you!

Gargle with hearty salt water several times a day. Good for anytime your throat is bothering you.
