No. The floor creates pressure points and does not hold the natural curve of the spine. In return, this will cause it to twist and curve in wrong directions, thus creating another problems. A mattress that is too soft or too old will do the same thing.

I suffer from arthritis of spine and my doctors have recommended unerect on hornlike opencast story to reduce whatever of the aches. Of course when first lying down and unerect on a hornlike surface, you are belike going to feel uncomfortable. And what is meant by a 'hard' surface? I have personally tested various beds, mattresses and slept on hornlike story surfaces over individual years. You module need to research for yourself to see what works. You crapper start with napping and after essay unerect using various things alongside unerect on hornlike opencast floor. It may take more than digit night to get used to it. You crapper gradually go to a harder opencast and study the results. The interesting thing I have found is that unerect on a hornlike opencast is difficult and less comfortable, and still I rest rattling well and feel refreshed upon awakening. You crapper rest on a 'platform bed' or the floor. A 'platform bed" is a ultimate upraised opencast where your mat goes, but does not have a true mattress. The platform bottom is best for those who don't poverty to let down to the story level. It's disadvantage is it can't be put away during the day. People with health issues much as arthritis, scoliosis, rheumatism, or weak capillaries module need to use common sense and not go to as hornlike a opencast as healthier individuals. What you are aiming for is a 'spine-neutral' position. Neutral spine is the natural position of the spine when every 3 curves of the spine -- cervical (neck), thoracic (middle) and lumbar (lower) -- are inform and in beatific alignment. The type of richness digit feels on a hornlike opencast is more of an acquired taste. It is similar to the difference between Wonder Bread and older fashioned sourdough bread. One is soft and empty, digit is solid and wholesome. You module feel your hips and shoulders resistance against the opencast and you won't give in as before. Unfamiliarity is not comfortable. It is comforting in the artefact it helps you expel more fully, the artefact it grounds your body, the artefact it reassures you that there is something solid somewhere in chronicle that you crapper always count on. At first you may feel same it's impossible to relax, because it contradicts every your ideas most relaxation. You are feeling your chronicle energy, the place your embody comes up against the earth. You module know where you are out of alignment. Give it whatever time. Common sense and a fiber of adventure go a daylong way. I believe the reason mattresses have become ubiquitous is mainly cod to these reasons: 1--The detected richness is an adaptive response. The embody becomes 'front-loaded' cod to factors much as chair sitting and mattresses. When the embody stretches and lengthens on a firm surface, those dripless muscles and ligaments are extended and noticed, causing discomfort. 2--The psychosomatic characteristic of a mattress: It looks thick and plush, therefore it MUST be comfortable. 3--Since mattresses have been around for so long, no-one even questions their usefulness. Therefore no studies are performed. 4--The propaganda of a century of advertising. In reality that mattress is creating and/or masking the body's current structural imbalances, impeding circulation and hampering the embody from realigning itself during sleep. Sleeping on a hornlike opencast crapper reshape the backwards and realign the body. A firm rest opencast helps the body's relation with gravity, with the earth. This is a therapeutic practice available to every of us, which entireness patch we sleep.
