 is using the athletics machine a good alternative to weights?

i usually run most 2 - 3 km and then do weights but now im thinking of using the rowing machine instead. any suggestions? oh and should i do cardio or weights first? my content is to lose weight, not gain muscle

weights first. the rowing machine is just another modify of cardio so it doesnt replace weights

i think rowing machine is cardio oriented..do cardio 1st
