 Problems with my workout?

I'm a lowercase confuse...I've been working discover for most 8 months now, and when I started, I could only do 10 pushups. A few months later, I was up over 40, and then 50. But a few weeks later, it seemed I could just do 20 before my arms/shoulders got extremly tired and gave out. Now, it's just 15 and my blazonry give out....I don't intend it. My muscles are a lot large and more toned now, but it seems I don't have the strength I had before. I'm 19 so age shouldn't be a factor. I work discover every another day and intend plenty of sleep, so what could be causing this? A friend mentioned it might be a lack of oxygen in my muscles during my workout, but I'm not trusty how to process it.

you could be overtraining, or undereating. either way taking up to a week crapper be good for recovery once in a patch and often grouping even become backwards stronger
