Yes, anaphylactic/anaphylactiod reactions are not just related to bees. Any substance crapper trigger a reaction. The only difference between to two is the identify of antigen- Anaphylactic = Protein based materials much as venom (bee, hornet, ant, etc), food, medication, etc Anaphylactiod = Non-protein based materials much as dyes, artificail scents, detergents, medications, etc It's also essential to tell healthcare providers about ALL of your allergies, even those that don't pertain to medications. For example the most common antigen for seek allergies is iodine, but many people don't think that a non-medication allergy is important, so those people who are then exposed to halogen in the healthcare setting are put at unnecessary risk.
