Trauma pads are a term used to describe the identify of dressing used. Trauma pads are usually pretty super about 15'' x 30'' bifold into a rectangle. They are used for super amounts of bleeding. The can also be used for other reasons same padding when splinting. And to answer your last question Trauma is the act of getting perceive by an object. So for example if someone punched you in the face and you had a black eye, we would say you have sustained trauma to the orbit area. Hope this helps.
