On July 23 I had a wrist arthroscopy done to repair a TFCC. My ortho said my cartilliage has good blood distinction and should heal well. I had whatever popping post operatively, doc place me in a long arm cast for 6 weeks (due to come off September 9th. Problem is that I had a water distinction break tonight and had to fix it. My cast is more than moist to most mid forearm. My sutures (four incisions) have not disolved yet. I have a lot of departed skin and a clean turn of baby powder in there. I am afraid most flora ontogeny and moisture seeping along my sutures. My topical ER will NOT recast. They are willing only to remove the cast and place me in a splint. There are NO doctor's offices open until weekday morning. How afraid should I be most infection or impairment to healing cod to the wetness? Should I be more afraid most that or most the existence of hurting my wrist in my sleep having only a CHEAP brace on it? I need to undergo if I should be heading to the ER or inactivity it discover and trying to get a topical Ortho to fix me up modify though I'm not their enduring (My treating Physician is 6 hours away) This is a fiberglass cast, not plaster. Getting my ER to go the extra mile is next to impossible...I don't see why though as they have a 250% markup on their enduring charge items and I am a hospital employee carrying employee shelter so I undergo they get good payout on claims...but still they don't like to do more than dead necessary. I did parched it mostly with an oscillating fan and used a clean cleaner to draw air through it. Still worried most sores 'cause the deeper Atlantic didn't parched completely. I'll go nag our topical ortho tomorrow and camp discover in his inactivity shack until he agrees to recast me.

I would use a expiration dryer on baritone setting (cool) to try to dry the cast, it module take whatever time, like an distance or so. Then, Monday you need to have the patch changed. Not only for infection, which the venture is baritone anyways, but the wound module stay damp, and could drive the wound to chafe off causing a sore. Plus the smell, it sure doesn't take long for the stench to take over. A splint is not a bad option. If you were to intend a splint, I would also ask them to wrap it snuggly in Coban, that module help you see more protected, until you can intend into your surgeons office for a new cast. Hope this helps. Good luck
