 How long does it take for a broken wrist to heal?

I just institute discover this morning that my brother poor his carpus in a sport game. Hes 15 going on to 16 but hes also in a state team which go absent in July. So I was wondering if he'll still be able to go? Please answer, freaking out. Anyone added answer please? These aren't very helpful...

It usually takes 4-6 weeks if it is a hairline fracture. If it is a compound break (where the bones are separated) it could take individual and would probably require surgery.
