About 6 weeks ago, I took a full obligate fall straight onto my right kneepan (ouch!). The knee was injured and sore for a few days. Ever since, the knee has seemed stiff and achy. I don't feel like it's fractured, but it's definitely different. What type of injury could this be?

Patellar Subluxation/Dislocation Also titled an unstable kneecap, patients who experience this articulatio condition hit a patella that does not track evenly within its groove on the femur. Treatment of these different kneepan conditions depends on the diagnosis, still there are whatever general guidelines that can be followed. With the fall you could hit dislocated your articulatio cap. See your student to get a diagnosis. Good Luck!
