It depends what trauma it was. Generally, I apply almond oil on the scab to keep it moisturized. That's the trick. DO NOT pick it. It will start off on it's own, and the skin should heal. Sometimes, scars are inevitable, so you ease may get one.

vitamin e oil works great! you can get it at natural products and upbeat food stores (probably pharmacies too) put it on the wound a couple times a day and not only will it support it heal faster, but you won't have a scar or it will be very hard to see! Plus you only need to ingest a little bit.
