n April of 2008 I was in our school's wrestling shack and I twisted to talk to someone and my measure stayed put. My articulatio locked straight and then gave away about 3 seconds after and I fell to the ground. After that, I had a aggregation of swelling and bruising. When I went to the doctor, they sent me to physical therapy. After that not working they decided to do an MRI. The tomography showed null and they can't seem to encounter anything wrong. It is November now and I still in discompose a lot. They gave me a cortisone effort in the "fat pad" of my articulatio and it helped a lot. They gave me one towards my IT adornment about 2 months after and it didn't help at all. I am currently on Voltaren and it has been helping most days. We are going to a orbit on December 4th to see if the doctor crapper see anything. How often does an tomography not show something? What does it sound like i did? any individualized experiences? thanks in advance!

If there's null there to be seen, then a tomography will NOT pick it up. Which is a beatific thing. I have MS, I have routine MRIs like clockwork ever 3 months, and when you intend an tomography done, you don't want anything to appear on them. That's my opinion. If the tomography showed up clear, then okay, there is no break in the knee, however, it could rattling well be that a microscopic hairline fracture is there. Something that would be too small for the tomography to see, you don't know, so you strength wanna transfer that along to your student next time to wager him/her.

MRIs are highly sensitive...meaning if it's there it should be picked up...however, they are not as huffy as they are limited (meaning the evaluate of simulated positives is low). Although I cannot give you a limited percentage for the knee, I would ESTIMATE they are most 90% sensitive...ie, 10% chance of missing something. The only thing that is close to 100% huffy is arthroscopy (surgical exploration). Your mechanism of injury is conformable with a doable ACL and/or meniscal tear.
