Hey everyone, I've meet gotten home from the hospital, and they've said I've sprained my ankle, and me and my mum forgot to ask them how daylong it would take to heal, and they didn't tell us? :S my year 7 exercise is in 4 weeks, then the period after exercise my class is going to the beach, and I really don't poverty to be in crutches for either of them!! will I still be in crutches? (if you don't know, meet take a wild guess, my mum said I probably will be) thanks, xox

Hi there!!!! What a shame!! You are on crutches??? That surprises me, for just a sprain. Tell you what, In the first 24 hours of the injury, administer cold to the ankle for most 20 transactions on and an hour off. Stay soured it as such as possible. After the 24 hours, then administer heat. You can acquire those modify patches in the take stores here in America for you to wear every day. Look for an ankle brace in the take store. if you can't find one, then acquire an elastic wrap and wrap that ankle to support support it. Please stay soured it for most 3 days if doable and keep it elevated to keep the swelling down. Don't forget the heat. It should be every better in 4 weeks if you do the right things now. OK? it depends on how badly you sprained it but you probably won't ease be on crutches for more than a week or 2 i don't undergo for sure because i don't undergo how badly it's sprained but i don't conceive it would be 4 weeks

I've had sprains about 3 times. depending on the type of sprain, it crapper verify a while to heal but you crapper generally walk on the foot (with pain) after a hebdomad or 2. it REALLY helps to use a splint cast http://www.buyaircast.com/ankle-brace-stirrup.htm which (depending on the type of sprain) crapper make walking almost painless, after a hebdomad or so after your sprain. for now, use lots of ICE to reduce inflammation (and allow your body to heal). use cover wrapped in a damp towel or something, and I won't tell you to verify Motrin for opposing inflammatory because I'm not a doctor. if you verify discompose medications FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. edit: I wore the splint period and night, only took it off to wash. I wore socks underneath and it fits into your shoe.

One period ago, I badly sprained my ankle and I'm steel in crutches. The doctor told me that it will verify 30 to 40 life for me to ger disembarrass of the crutches. The time will depend on how badly you hit sprained your ankle, but I think for weeks staleness be enough. One week before the graduation, start to achievement without crutches, meet a taste every day, and if you can achievement without discompose or with minor discompose you'll be able to go to the beach without crutches. Just verify it slow, don't run likewise much or anything, be careful. Sprains are very painful but I am shure you can manage a little discompose if you want to go to your friends.
