If it has been injury for a bit then yes. Hold a cloth firmly on it. When I cut my finger my mum went to the chemist for some stitches that you put on yourself but this appears to be a bit bigger. If a surface does not cover it you should go to the hospital. Just to be on the safe side.

It depends on how deep the cut is. If you spread it open and it appears to be fairly deep, then yes, I would take him because he haw need stitches. Also, if you applied push to it and it is still injury heavily after a half hour, then yes I would. However, if it has obstructed injury or is only injury lightly and it doesn't appear to be too deep, then there is probably no need to take him to the ER. I would just wash it thoroughly with clean and warm water, and apply bactericide ointment to it and cover it with a bandaid or whatever gauze and tape if it is too big of a cut for a bandaid. Hope this helped! **Please vote for best answer!**

I'm so sorry that I have to answer this, I wish the best for you and your son. If he didn't slice across any tendons, deep enough to penetrate bone or cut a nerve, he should be ok. Clean with mild clean and water, apply a non stick gauze to his palm, if the injury continues to soak up a gauze, or if he looks pale, or faint from blood loss, take him. If it's stopped injury it would be good to bonded the gauze using whatever medical wrap. And ensure he crapper both slightly modify and retract his fingers, don't unstoppered the wound, but ensure he didn't lose any movement. Watch it for a some days ,keep it covered, ready it clean, change the dressing, and ensure it doesn't reopen or gets infected.
