 Why do my pectorals hurt?

I was weight lifting yesterday for wrestling. It was the first time i actually worked out, and I think I pushed myself to hard. I woke up the next day, and my left pecs started hurting kinda bad. It wasn't soreness, it change like spikes or needles inside the muscle. I dunno, it was an mismatched sort of pain. I proven to do a push-up, and it made it worse. It modify hurts when i oscitancy or sneeze. Does anyone know what it is?

yea ive had this happen before and it went away after some time...if it was a torn muscle you would have been screamminnnggggg
