I sprained my ankle really bad a week ago. On Monday the swelling eventually went down enough to get an air cast on it. Between Wends. and Thurs. I was out, and walked/stood on it for most 20 hours in the two days. When I take the cast off for the night I found these Brobdingnagian bruises, on my toes, and on either lateral of my foot. Plus, tonight, despite resting and icing it all day, it hurts A LOT, more than since I first sprained it. I've never seen suh dark bruises, should I be worried, or doing anything else?

lack of swelling and impaired discompose does not stingy you are out of the woods yet. the travel and standing for 20 hours disrupted the healing process. the discompose you are experiencing at the moment is the bodies response to assault. you assaulted your leg-Its your leg, part of your body. why would you injure yourself like that. the bruising is due to the extended pressure against the skin. wish you scholarly your lesson

What is wrong with people that will not STAY OFF of an injured ankle or leg . Gee whiz, you stood twenty hours and wonder why it hurts a lot. STAY OFF OF THE DARN FOOT, IF YOU WANT IT TO GET BETTER. AND ICE IT. The one good thing about age is, YOU GET SMARTER.
