Last saturday night, I fell and coiled my anklee. I went to my pediatrician, since it was expanded and it hurt to achievement on, they told me it was sprained and that i requirement to ice it and elevate it. It is almost a week later and it is still swollen, black and blue, sore to the contact and it hurts to achievement on. Also when I am sitting down, it throbs. They never had me intend an x-ray.. should i go back?

Wow, it's awful that they didn't order an x-ray meet to be sure. Yes, you should go back, because you will never undergo if it was truly fractured unless an x-ray rules it out. Good luck.

Sprains can verify time to heal especially in your ankle, keep doing what the medico is saying, ice and elevation but if you are afraid it wouldn't hurt to go see another doctor.

go back and get an xray, but dont be likewise surprised if its not actually broken. i perceive my ankle really bad about 6 years ago and it was sprained real bad but not broken, and honestly, i conceive it would hit been better to hit just busted it. i had to wear an expose patch for almost a month, and then a brace for several months after that. i still hit days occasionally where i did something to irritate the hooligan and i hit to wear the brace for a period or two.
