I've had crackly knees for about ten eld (I'm 35) but in the last assemblage they've really started to start apart. Over the last heptad eld I've moved from step-aerobics to pilates to yoga, and a few months ago I realized my instance on the mat seems to be up, too. I've never been a runner. I'm sticking to my walking schedule modify though it, too, leaves my knees sore and expanded but I've quit my yoga classes because I meet felt like my knee would expiration out on modify a medium lunge. My GP has patterned me (viabloodtests) for rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and other autoimmune diseases, and all that's come up is a vitamin D deficiency, one test that indicated "inflammation" and once an elevated cortisol level. I'm hypersensitised to ibuprophen and other NSAIDs, so there wasn't anything in the way of painkillers or anti-inflammatories that she said she could recommend, besides a vit D supplement. I have not gained some weight in two eld (I weigh 200 and am 5' 7" so I know part of my problem is weight-related, but without more strenous exercice I can't seem to lose a single pound. It's a vicious cycle, when the friction started I was at 140, so it wasn't excess weight lonely that killed my knees, and at the instance I could take Aleve or ibuprophen and since I was only in my twenties/early thirties I didn't clear such more tending to it...) The bloodtests were about sextet months ago, and now I'm icing my knees at night and act ace-bandage type wraps for support and can make my knees grind meet by flexing them in the air. I poverty to make an appointment with a specialist to see what kind of damage this is and how (without NSAIDs) I can deal with this, but don't know what specialty? Rheumatology, orthopedics, or something that I've never modify heard of? Thanks!

Go see an Orthopedic Surgeon, and BTW there is whatever anit-inflammitories that are not pills, but toiletries or drops you can rub correct on your knees. This is great for people who can't verify test medications because of stomach problems.
