I had knee surgery 9 life ago and I see really good now. There's barely any pain or swelling, but I am supposed to be on crutches for another 2 weeks. I see fine though! Can I really do such alteration if I go very short distances without them? Like a few feet?

I had knee surgery too. And had to ingest crutches. If you feel sure sufficiency that you can walk with out them, then it should be alright. But, meet do it a little at a time. If your knee isn't brawny sufficiency to appendage your weight in walking and you fall, then your in big trouble. So, meet verify it slowly. If you feel weak then set down right away. It will verify instance for your knee to adjust to holding your weight without the crutches. So verify it tardily and your knee will intend it's strength back. Good luck.

This all depends on a lot of factors and crapper really only be answered by your surgeon. First of all, what knee surgery did you have? Did you doc tell you that you are NWB (non-weight bearing), FWB (full-weight bearing), or WBAT (weight-bearing as tolerated)? If you are NWB, you are not allowed to place coefficient on your leg until your doc gives you the okay. Otherwise, if you are allowed by your surgeon, you should achievement without crutches when pain is minimal and you crapper achievement without a intense limp. For whatever knee surgeries, you should not put coefficient on it because you crapper slow the healing. For example, patients are usually (not always though) told to be NWB for a little while with such procedures as mensicus bushel or those that included bony work. Give your doc a call or meet on crutches until your next appt. Be pleased though that you don't have any pain or swelling only 9 life out, that's amazing! Good Luck :)
