He's had an over-grown toenail for a while that I've been progressively shaping and filing down without hurting him and a some days ago it broke off and he now has a bloody brief toenail that he will stop off the ground. What can I do for it? I don't want it to get infected...

Take it to the vet! Just don't permit him start chewing at his foot, we had a hamster that got a progress caught around his measure and he started to bit at his measure and when we took the progress soured and he kept biting at his foot... daylong story short, we had to place him down. I would call a man who treats poultry pigs and ask for advice. We have three piggies and the exclusive things I crapper think of would be to keep an eye on it. Make trusty it doesn't intend inflamed or runny/infected. Maybe wipe it if it looks like it could ingest it. We keep drug from previous illnesses so for hurt I'd give a wee bit of Metacam (it's like liguid advil for piggies). Other then that, intend advice from a vet. Good luck to your little boy, gesture his heart.
