You could mayhap hit a cyst (I had one there) and they crapper be really painful. You should go see your student to hit this ruled out. Sitting on a hard floor could hit caused a wound and that would hurt also.

You haw hit a pilonidal cyst. This is a sac on the tailbone caused by repeated push to the Atlantic such as movement on the hard floor. If you are experiencing pain, then it is probably infected. The only treatment for this is for your student to do an incision and pipage it. You haw also need antibiotics. This was a common ailment of soldiers during WW2, as they rode around in jolting jeeps for long hours, thus receiving the soubriquet "jeep disease". I suggest not movement on the hard story anymore or using cushions if you do. Go see your student and beatific luck!
