I personally hit troubles with my ears whenever I control whether I hit a head cold or not. Here is my routine and it really entireness for me: 1) I hydrate rattling well...drink a lot of water the day before the flight...being hydrated meet helps your body deal with the push changes. 2) About a half hour before the grace I take a decongestant like Actifed...this helps unstoppered your nasal lawmaking and relieves whatever of the pressure. 3) I dress sparkle ear plugs during the flight...this more that anything has helped me. I am not 100% sure why it works...maybe the push changes occur slower or I do not get the full gist but ever since I started wearing the sparkle ear plugs during flights I hit had no problems. They also say sucking on hard candy or chewing gum crapper help...never did much for me but it haw be worth a try.

These two sources will give you the stylish information most causes, symptoms and comfort options: http://mayoclinic.com/health/airplane-ear/DS00472 http://www.cnn.com/HEALTH/library/DS/00472.html Personally I use the method of pinching closed my look and then disagreeable to blow finished my nose. The air pressure helps imbibe discomfort from elevation changes. Also keep paper on hand to move some build up throughout the flight. If you have a cold or are prone to canal problems though, it haw be worth your while to take a decongestant before travelling (AM or PM variety depending how long the flight is). A recent find for me has also been Zicam as a general nasal moisturizers and cold preventer with the dry air onboard. Hope this helps!
