Are you on hormones of any type? Like birth control pills, patches, whatever? Hormones are the #1 reason for migraines in females. Puberty crapper be bad; menopause is MUCH worse!
Start a food diary. Many additives, preservatives and even some 'natural' foods drive migraines. For example: MSG, sulfites, sulphates, phosphates, artificial sweeteners, broad fructose callus syrup, older cheese, pickles, vinegar, oranges, chocolate (for some), and so on.
Up your liquid intake. I hit no 'thirst' trigger for some reason. I used to ingest all of 8-12 ounces of fluid per day! Once I started forcing myself to ingest liquid (minimum of 32 ounces per day), my migraines dropped dramatically.
Stay 'regular'. I detected that due to my not crapulence water, I was ofttimes constipated. Which tended to correspond to my migraines as well. Along with the water, I started a broad fiber diet. I'm now MUCH more regular - and again, hit way fewer migraines.
Have you had your sinuses checked? Sinus headaches CAN escalate into migraines, as well. And are you disagreeable to impact them with something same Excedrin VERY early? When I wake, if I hit that 'niggling' pain, I take an Excedrin immediately and that ofttimes heads it off.
Stay away from strong PAIN meds. They VERY ofttimes hit a 'rebound' gist - and your 'migraine' may actually be a 'rebound' aching from the pain pills - in other words, you've become chronic to them, even if it is only one a day. Been there; soured of that! Try to get on a good migraine killer, same imitrex, Axert, Maxalt or such. For me, 1 Axert and 2 hours later, I'm pain free.
Finally, see if your doctors are willing to essay you on a assorted medication for your hypothyroid problem just for a while to see if you strength be having a side gist from it. If so, maybe there are some alternatives you crapper try.
