if you sincerely have discompose in your neck, you should enquire your medico for 2 reasons;; a actual diagnosis; & anti-inflammatories @ enough dosage that you don't have to wait weeks for relief...a hot water bottle may reduce some of your pain, but it will not stop you from doing what you are doing to your neck;; even now..you're guarding..I KNOW it!! lower your shoulders & ready them relaxed, also ready your head based until that discompose goes downbound a bit;; & btw, ya don't have to lift your head to move it...good luck!!
