Okay, so I had my tonsils out 5 days ago. My tongue is symptom worse than my actual throat. It's category of spazzing, and twitching, and it has two extremely sore blisters on the back of it. It's swollen to where I can't really talk, and my sense of discernment is completely gone too. Is this normal, and will it go away? Also, does anyone know WHY my tongue is so sore, since they didn't operate on it? Help && advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank You! 10 point for prizewinning answer easy. (: <3 Emily

Try cover or Popsicles. I had my tonsils discover a year ago, no picnic. That could be where they had the equipment to hold your tongue down during surgery. Still, this is worth a call to your doctor. My throat perceive much worse.
