 why am I not getting better?

On ordinal week of bronchitis, digit rounds of antibiotics, countless trips to er and dr, expiration syrup, and NOTHING HELPS. I know if it's viral antibiotics do nothing... but recently my expiration is horrible, way down in my chest (so much I'm to the point of tears when I cough) and I just started streaming a fever. I had a chest xray that was clear, so what can they do now, what might be wrong, and do you think they'd give me anything for the pain because I'm in AGONY.
