 A squeezed nerve in my elbow?

Well,recently I've had this very uneasy feeling in my elbow,not discompose though,and a small conception of my left hand has embellish a taste numb. I talked to my mom and she said it might be cuase of a nerve existence squeezed. I'm wondering,is she right? And if so,what can I do? Will it go away on it's possess or is there something I can do to get rid of it?
