NO. They are just there to talk to you and rationalize with you. If they tracked your call, then nobody would ever call. My sister utilised to work at one before she became a flooded time counselor.

It strength depend from city to city. I drilled at a suicide hotline, and their policy was to call personnel if they felt you were a genuine danger to yourself/others. But in spite of the fact that everyone occupation was opinion pretty lousy, it wasn't a lawful occurrence that they called the cops. A lot of people call, say they're thinking about hurting themself, but really what they poverty is just to talk to someone who understands how bad they're feeling. The mortal at the hotline has to encourage the speaker to seek help - head to the hospital, talk to kinsfolk or roommates, etc. But they don't call the personnel unless the speaker says they're definitely doing something. And even then, it's a tricky area. For example, if the speaker said "I'm going to blackball my baby," then personnel would be called. If it's self-harm, it's more of a gray area. Generally the hotline mortal module sit and talk to the caller.. if the speaker hangs up mid-crisis, or keeps saying they are going to verify action, then personnel strength be called. At this portion hotline, they didn't have call display. I think in order to call personnel (though I can't remember 100% for sure) they would requirement to order a analyse on the phone. So that could either be done after the speaker hung up, or by getting added hotline volunteer to call the analyse from added line. But it isn't something that is done unless the danger sounds really realistic. The hotline doesn't poverty to anxiousness people absent from occupation by sending the cops every time people attain threats. It's better to assume that the speaker just needs someone to lend an ear, and then call cops only if/when the situation escalated.
