I was dating this girl, but we broke up rather messily. We were mad, then started talking again, and are today friends. Today my someone texted her locution I desired her back, but I explained his (NOT funny) prank to her. So we were texting, nothing strange, and out of nowhere she tells me she's been feeling suicidal. She talks about modification a lot, but not suicide. SHOULD I TELL THE SCHOOL COUNSELOR?! She might be doing it for attention, or joking around, but I'm worried she's serious. I don't poverty to get adults involved unless necessary though. How earnest is this? Should I tell someone, and who? Also I remembered her telling me she obstructed attractive her OCD medicine. At this point, honestly, I'm just gonna tell the counselor. It's too serious.

You sound like a beatific friend. You hit to tell the edifice counselor. Statistics show that if one says it one is most probable to do it. I hope you module go farther with this. I don't think you should tell your counselor meet yet, maybe you could prototypal communicate her if she's existence for real , and if she's denying it but you're not convinced, then you should like talk to one of her parents or your parents.

YES!! Tell your counselor, a teacher, some adult. Please, you must help her. Even if she gets mad, you cannot risk it. It would be just terrible if something intense happened because you did not speak up.

YES. They can give you some solid suggestions as to what to do. She may hit just been venting, but suicidal thoughts are very actual and should not be ignored. How wonderful that you tending sufficiency to ask what to do. Get some help yourself because handling with this is hard for the another end as well.

You know sometimes grouping do it for attention. However better to be safe than sorry. I spoke to a doctor who once told me to communicate the person if he/she has a plan and if so then you know it's serious. What I declare is to tell the counselor. Be the person's someone and talk to her. Suicide is not something to jape most and even joking most shows that there is something wrong and requires help. Absolutely tell an grown as presently as possible. The rate of teen suicide is very high and not worth taking a risk on whether or not she is "joking" or wanting attention. Better she ( and you) perhaps feeling embarrassed or ..., then desire you had said something, anything to someone . Perhaps have your parents contact hers and inform them of this or as you said a counselor, just please don't wait. This is a true friend. Good Luck
